AS Girls Identity Development
It’s incredibly hard for emerging adults to figure out who they are and who they want to be in the world today. There is so much available information about identity, so many different identities that weren’t discussed before, and so much confusion about the kind of world people are growing into. We may forget that identity is very personal. It shouldn’t be directed by friends or trends, but discovered in the process of a person’s own experience of the self in the context of their life.
Given this, I am offering a group for girls, ages 14-17, who are interested in discovering their emerging identities and what that means for how they live their lives. This group will focus on self-determination, with all identities welcome. Are you questioning everything you were taught to be as a child? You are welcome here. Are you finding you love the traditional identity/role you were taught as a child? You are welcome here. It’s all about being true to yourself, and starting the process in a supportive group setting.
